Inclusion & SEN
Every child welcome, every need understood. Inclusion isn't a bolt-on at ABC, it's part of how we work.
We are committed to providing inclusive provision for children of all abilities, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and medical care needs. Individual support is carefully planned in partnership with families and relevant professionals, ensuring that every child has access to meaningful learning opportunities and is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

A key person for every child
Every child has a named key person who knows them properly, notices changes early and is your main point of contact. For children with additional needs, that relationship matters even more.
Settling in at your child's pace
We do not run a fixed settling-in schedule. We build one around your child, and we are happy to take as long as it takes.
Individual care plans
Children with medical needs have an individual care plan agreed with you, and where relevant with their health team, before they start.
Trained staff
Our team is trained in administering medication, and there is always a paediatric first aider on site. Where a child's care needs specific training, we arrange it with the relevant health professionals.
Medical needs and medication
If your child needs medication during the day, we will talk it through with you before they start and agree how it will be managed. All medication is recorded on Famly, checked by a second member of staff, and stored securely.

For children with longer term medical requirements, an Individual Health Care Plan from the relevant health team will be in place so that the right arrangements are agreed in advance.
